Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 there is a statutory duty for management to ensure, in so far as it is reasonably possible, the health and safety of employees and others at the place of work.
The management of the Stoney Bridge Guest House will, so far as it is reasonably practicable, ensure that:
* Adequate resources are provided to make certain that proper provision can be made for health and safety.
* Risk assessments are carried out and periodically reviewed.
* All working practices are safe and without risk to health.
* Arrangements for the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances involved in the work are safe and without risks to health.
* The provision and maintenance of all equipment is safe and without risk to health.
* The place of work is safe and there is safe access to and egress from the workplace.
* A system for recording accidents and near misses will be maintained.
This Health and Safety Policy will be reviewed when necessary.
